@stothesophie : They told me once, nothing grows When a house ain't a home Is it true, honestly When it's all a part of me? 🖤 Hi. I’ve been going through a very difficult time. My depression has been hitting very very hard lately and my self-doubts have been creeping in. With this whole year tearing down a lot of the plans I had in store, I’ve just been feeling very hopeless during the end of the year. Everything’s been feeling too static; I don’t like it. In turn, I’ve been feeing like I’m not going anywhere, not getting better, not doing enough. My thoughts have been getting the better of me. I lost myself. @iamhalsey ‘s been a big part of my life, my self-discovery in finding myself, whether it was about my sexuality, my self-love journey, my dark times, her music’s shaped a lot of me. With her newest album being her most personal, a lot of the tracks hit home, this one in particular. This song, what she wrote it about (her losing her baby and struggle with miscarriage), I don’t personally relate to. But I saw it as me losing myself, trying to find me again, and forgiving myself again. I thank music and dance for always being there for me in my good times and my bad.
