@prayalundberg : Before I went to sleep last night, my call with the UNHCR family made me think of my trip to Bangladesh. The host community is already under a lot of constraint and refugees with in the camp are residing in very close and compact space. Social distancing and staying home is not an option for many of the refugees around the world. COVID - 19 poses a huge threat to humanity but also to the most vulnerable. Those who cannot protect themselves. I’m concerned about the large number of people globally who are in war torn and conflict zones or countries that are already under a lot of pressure and because of the very difficult circumstances during this pandemic many lives could be lost. I do hope during this period, we do not forget that every life is valuable and as we are learning from this pandemic everyone is connected and we are all in this together. We should never turn our back on a situation that feels far and disconnected to us. They need us and we need them to be safe and protected. 😔❤️ @unhcr.thailand
