@cindysirinya : This month we celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child on Oct 11 in order to work towards ensuring that our girls have the right to be safe, be healthy and be educated. Among some of the many challenges girls still face today are harmful stereotypes and gender biases that limit their potential for growth. Girls are still being told their worth lies in the roles they play at home and that their value is dependent on how beautiful they are. Let’s change that narrative. Stop telling our girls to only be pretty.
