@cindysirinya : I LOVE that Aiden picked this book out of the library on his own; a book about awesome girls finding their identity and owning their unique strengths. I LOVE that he found connection with the characters; the cool drummer girl, the astronaut, the city girl, the shy girl... because these delightful stories all transcend gender. They are stories about youth and joy and endless possibilities. They are poems of hopes and dreams, diversity and love. They break gender stereotypes about what girls can or cannot do, or what we’re supposed to be or shouldn’t be. I wish more boys would pick up a book like and this and bring it home with them. ❤️ Let’s teach our boys to embrace diversity. Teach them they don’t have to only be tough. Teach them to be kind and sensitive and respectful. I truly believe that is the key to a better future for all. Thank you Vanessa Bradley-Newton for this beautiful book!
