@amanda.obdam : วันนี้ด้าได้เดินทางไปเยี่ยม "ผู้ป่วยจิตเวชข้างถนน Human on street" กับมูลนิธิกระจกเงา ความรู้สึกหนึ่งที่เกิดขึ้นในใจ . เขานั่งอยู่ท่ามกลางชุมชน แต่หลายคนกลับมองไม่เห็น และหลีกเหลี่ยงการมีอยู่ของเขา หลายคนใจดีเมตตามอบอาหาร น้ำดื่ม กับคุณลุงคุณป้าบ้าง แต่จะมีสักกี่คนที่พาเขาเข้าสู่ระบบการรักษา . ทราบไหมคะว่า ถ้าเราสามารถรักษาเขาทันภายใน 6 เดือนตั้งแต่เริ่มมีอาการ เขาสามารถหายเป็นปกติได้แต่ในเคสที่ด้ามาเจอทั้งสามเคส เขาอาจมีโอกาสในการกลับมาเป็นคนปกติได้น้อย แต่เขามีโอกาสเปลี่ยนสถานะที่ถูกเรียกว่าคน "บ้า" เป็นผู้ป่วยที่ได้รับการดูแล . ด้าคงไม่สามารถเปลี่ยนแปลงคำว่าบ้า ให้มีความหมายอื่นได้ แต่ด้าอยากให้ทุกคนที่ได้รับรู้เรื่องราวนี้ ช่วยกันให้มองว่าเขาคือหนึ่งคนที่กำลังไม่สบาย และต้องการรับการรักษา แม้ไม่ได้ร้องขอ . เรามาเริ่มใช้ใจฟังเขา และให้มุมมองใหม่กับเรื่องนี้กันเถอะค่ะ . . Dear friends Today I've got a chance to walk one step closer to some vulnerable patients of mental health problems. I went down on the streets of Bangkok to observe and study the cases. Under the supervision of the Mirror Foundation that reflects another different image of these people, I came to realize that many of us just walked past them, turning a blind eye on them. Some might stop and give them food and water, but there was no sign or any intention to bring them to further proper medical treatment. In fact, if these three ill people that I saw today could have accessed the medical care and therapy, they would have been back to normalcy or got better in six moths. But sadly it is kind of too late. However they should not have been labelled as "mad people". They have been sick and that's it. I would like to share this story that I experienced and witnessed with my own eyes hopefully to change people paradigm of madness. I would like to speak up for them in the moment that they seem voiceless, telling the society that they should not be left behind and they too deserve a better health care.
